Private Christ the Redeemer, Selaron Steps and Sugar Loaf Tour (Rudner Party 2024)

Christ the Redeemer, Selaron Steps and Sugar Loaf

Take this amazing tour for a very special one-on-one experience with a local, professional tour guide. Take advantage of this great opportunity to experience three of Rio's greatest landmarks in the same day, Christ the Redeemer Statue, Selaron Steps, and Sugar Loaf.

After meeting your local, friendly guide at the pier area your van takes you to the South Zone and Copacabana before you will make your way up Corcovado Mountain through the dense Tijuca rain forest to the 38m tall (125ft) Christ the Redeemer Statue. The guide will allow for approximately 50 minutes to show the wonderful sights of Rio. From the top, enjoy the spectacular views of Rio and the surrounding countryside. After riding the van back down, you will pass through the charming Santa Teresa before arriving at Sugar Loaf.

As you make your way to Sugar Loaf, you will get acquainted with Santa Teresa, a neighborhood with a completely different vibe from the rest of Rio. Here, Old Rio comes alive as Santa Teresa is a neighborhood where the laid-back and traditional meet. But it also brings you street art, such as the amazing Selaron Steps. The beautiful steps crafted in ceramic by artist Jorge Selaron are one of a kind. From here you will continue to Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Travel all the way to the top of Sugar Loaf in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes you to Urca Hill, a vantage point of 215 meters high which grants beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge and Corcovado Mountain. From this stage, a second cable car takes you up to the top. At 395 meters enjoy splendid views of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and several beaches of Niterói.

Special Note: Non-line tickets are included. However, tour timing is approximate, and crowd and traffic conditions may affect the actual tour duration. On certain days heavy traffic, and during Carnival weekend, may disrupt the visit through Santa Teresa and the Selaron Steps, the itinerary may vary or be changed.
