Next, you will travel through some of the most exclusive residential suburbs on your way to visit Mona Vale, a stately home with beautiful gardens. Stroll into the grounds of Mona Vale from the front gatehouse, following the Avon River. Enjoy a morning tea in the homestead, then meet your coach and guide at the rear gatehouse once you have had time to explore the grounds.

Then you will journey into the central city of Christchurch, which was completely devastated by the Christchurch earthquakes in February 2011. Your guide will explain both the history of the city and the effects of the earthquake, and will then provide time to explore on your own.

Finally, you will travel through the Eastern Suburbs, the estuary, and the beach suburb of Sumner, then through Evans Pass, which will provide you with fantastic views of the harbors and the southern bays. You will then be returned to the cruise ship pier.
