Christchurch City, Waipara Wine & Sheep Farm Experience

Experience a day that blends Christchurch's revitalised urban heart, the charm of rural life, and the flavours of one of New Zealand's celebrated wine regions. Your journey begins with a guided overview of Christchurch, where you'll take in key sights and learn how the city has rebuilt and reimagined itself since the 2011 earthquake.

From there, you'll travel north toward the Waipara region, pausing in the coastal hills at an authentic working sheep farm. This is a chance to see everyday farm life up close, including a live sheep-shearing demonstration and skilled sheepdogs at work. The setting opens out to sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and rugged cliffs, making it a memorable backdrop for your visit.

A relaxed picnic lunch follows, created with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and enjoyed at Louise's Lookout, a beautiful vantage point on the farm offering wide coastal views. After lunch, your day continues with a tasting at Georges Road Wines, a boutique winery known for producing elegant, cool-climate varietals. Guests aged 18 and over are welcome to sample a selection of regional wines, while others can enjoy the views and atmosphere.
