Private Secrets of Espresso, Walking and Tasting Tour

Walk on a wonderful 3-hour journey where your guide will delight you with interesting information about the first main industry in Puerto Rico, its history here and around the world. Taste the unique aromatic coffee that is preferred by the Pope in Rome and find out why it was considered a forbidden drink in the early centuries. Some of the charming architecture you will see includes the facades of Columbus Plaza, San Francis Church, City Hall, Cristo Street, and San Juan Cathedral.

As you walk through the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan you will taste coffee in unique forms and products from some of the most popular coffee shops this historical city provides. Learn about the coffee haciendas out in our mountains and the difference between their coffee beans. Visit different historical venues and old beautiful churches that distinguish this unique city. Sip: cortadito or espresso con leche and learn how do locals ask for coffee in Puerto Rico. Get refreshed with a delicious affogato (vanilla ice cream covered with a shot of espresso) and meet your Barista who will design you an El Morro Garita or Sentry box art latte.

Be introduced some of the favorite Puerto Rican pastries like the mouthwatering Mallorca or a delicious freshly baked quesito that Puerto Ricans inhered from our Spanish roots and have married with this delicious drink famous around the world. It will be a day to remember, walking through history, enjoying the lovely architecture, sipping coffee or tea and tasting our culture while meeting new friends.

Three stops will be made for delicious coffee tastings (tastings will vary upon availability but expect choices of cafe con leche, cappuccino, iced coffee, affogatos, tropical flavor teas, and Puerto Rican pastries)
