Begin your day with a short overview of the capital of Newfoundland, St. John's, and views of St. John's busy harbour. Dating back to 1497, it once offered respite to European fishing vessels and crews.

Leaving the city behind, your air conditioned coach will take you to Cape Spear, a National Historic Site located on the Avalon peninsula of Newfoundland. Jutting into the Atlantic Ocean, this escarpment is the most easterly point in North America. While at Cape Spear, take some time to explore the Cape Spear Lighthouse and the Coastal Batteries, and capture stunning photos using the beautiful scenery as your backdrop.

Next you will visit Petty Harbour, a picturesque fishing village where you will have time to explore on your own and take photos of the quaint village. From here you will continue on to Signal Hill, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the harbour and city.

On your way back to the cruise ship pier, take in views of St. John's remarkable array of architectural treasures. Discover brightly colored wooden houses, stone churches, colonial buildings and modern commercial structures. Glimpse Government House, the Garrison Church and the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. You will then return to your cruise ship.
