Departing the pier, you will set off on your journey that takes you through Eiganes. Travel the narrow road and past the royal residence known as the Ledaal Manor.

At Hafrsfjord, you'll learn about the historical significance of the region. This is where King Harald Hairfair defeated regional princes in 872, leading to the establishment of the Kingdom of Norway. You'll also stop nearby the monument Swords in Rock which commemorates this battle. The Iron Age farm at Ullandhaug is a reconstructed farmstead from the Migration Period (AD 350-550). As the only one of its kind in Norway, the farm was rebuilt on the remains of a farm from the early Iron Age. A visit will be made and the Lady of the House or her husband, the landholder, will meet you when you arrive. Step back in time as you get to see how people lived 1,500 years ago!

During your visit to the Ullandhaug farm, you can participate in various Iron Age activities. This includes trying your hand at lighting a fire using flint and fire steel, feeling the warmth of hearths, and tasting freshly baked bread from the embers.

You can see Iron Age textile work and craftsmanship techniques, even having the opportunity to give it a try yourself! In one of the low houses with turf roofs, you will learn more about the living conditions around the year 500 A.D. A local guide will demonstrate how they made flour, wove their clothes and made fire. This incredible tour offers a unique opportunity to step back in time.
