Malacca Tour

On this exclusive tour your private guide will take you on a scenic drive south of the port to the amazing city of Malacca. The oldest trading port in Malaysia, this city has a colorful history including taking turns under the ruling of Portugal, Denmark and Britain. Stand at Red Square (also known as Dutch Square) and marvel at the enormous red brick building of Stadhurys. Built in 1650 for governor offices, it is supposedly the oldest Dutch building still in existence in the area. This square also contains Christ Church, a red building with bell tower that is Malaysia's oldest functioning Protestant church. Walk up St. Paul's Hill and be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Malacca Straits and the ancient town of Bandar Hilir below. While here, take a peek inside the ruins of St. Paul's Church. Built in 1521 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, this church subsequently added a burial vault which holds the remains of several distinguished people.

Take a break and enjoy an authentic Nyonya lunch (a blend of Chinese and Malay influences, at your own expense) then wander through Antique Row on Jonker Street. The remains of the fortress Porta de Santiago and Malaysia's oldest Chinese temple, Cheng Hoon Teng, are also available to see. Your private tour will conclude with a photo stop at the traditional Malay village of Morten before your return back to port if time permits. Book now for a private, comprehensive look at the main attractions of Malacca.

Please Note: Lunch is at guest's own expense. A ship card and photo identification is required to participate in this tour.
