Your day begins with pick-up at the Bilbao Cruise Terminal, where you will meet your private English-speaking licensed guide and driver for a brief introduction and overview of the tour. From there, enjoy a scenic drive up to the Mount Artxanda, one of the best vantage points in the city. After a short walk to the viewpoint, take in sweeping panoramic views over Bilbao and the surrounding hills, with time for photos and guided commentary.

Continuing toward the city center, you will stop at the iconic Zubizuri Bridge, Santiago Calatrava’s elegant white pedestrian bridge spanning the Nervion River, perfect for memorable photos. A scenic drive then takes you past Plaza Moyua and the striking cultural center Azkuna Zentroa, where you will pause briefly to admire this beautifully redesigned former wine warehouse.

As you continue, pass by the grand Teatro Arriaga and enjoy a brief photo stop at the Basilica of Begona, an important spiritual landmark overlooking the city. You will also stop for photos at the world-famous Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, home to the beloved floral sculpture Puppy, an iconic symbol of modern Bilbao.

The tour then continues on foot through Bilbao’s charming Old Town, known as Casco Viejo. Stroll through its historic streets and discover landmarks such as the exterior of Santiago Cathedral and the lively Plaza Nueva. You will visit the renowned Mercado de la Ribera, one of Europe’s largest covered markets, where you can enjoy an interior visit and an optional tasting of traditional pintxos. There will also be time to admire the Old Bridge and soak in the authentic atmosphere of this historic district.

After the guided portion, enjoy free time to explore at your leisure, shop, or relax before your comfortable return drive to the Bilbao Cruise Terminal, with ample buffer time to ensure a stress-free ship departure.
