Visit of Santo Domingo with Lunch

The beautiful and colorful colonial city of Santo Domingo is the capital and largest city in the Dominican Republic as well as a UNESCO world heritage site.

your tour begins with a pickup from the pier in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, which will also be used throughout the tour.

Your adventure begins with a stop at "Los 3 Ojos," an open-air cave at the capital's entrance. This underground water formation, shaped by centuries of erosion, reveals crystal-clear pools. A unique natural site amidst a city of five million residents, it has been declared a national park.

Next, you'll head to the Colonial Zone, with photo stops at the "Faro a Colon" and the Presidential Palace along the way. Once in the Colonial Zone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll see the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor (Notre Dame de l'Incarnation) from the outside, the first of its kind in the Americas, dating back to the early 16th century.

Lunch will be served at a small typical restaurant in the colonial zone where you'll have an opportunity to enjoy Dominican cuisine! It consists of simple dishes usually made with chicken stew accompanied by rice and red beans.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit The National Pantheon, where guards stand immobile, and have free time to explore the charming, narrow streets of the old town. As you wander through these historically rich neighborhoods, your guide will share insights about the country’s culture and history—so feel free to ask questions along the way!
