Get ready for a full morning in one of the most emblematic places in the region: The Port Wine cellars.

Considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2001, the Port Wine cellars tell a story and traditions spanning centuries.

This morning you will also have the opportunity to visit one of these cellars - Caves Ferreira. Created in 1751 by a family of Douro winegrowers, Ferreira is the only Port Wine company that throughout its history it has always remained Portuguese.

Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira contributed significantly to the consolidation of the brand, through her work on behalf of the Douro and its people. Facing the adversities of his time, he became a symbol of strength still recognized by everyone

Caves Ferreira invite you to discover a brand with more than 250 years of history, on an authentic journey, where since the 19th century. XVIII the Porto wine ages in hundreds of casks and wooden vats.

In addition to the guided tour with wine tasting, we will also have the opportunity to walk along the Gaia pier and discover some more cellars as well as enjoy a privileged view over the city of Porto.

Tour itinerary :

Departure from Cruise terminal 9:30 am.

Arrival at Wine cellar - Ferreira at 10:00 am .

Guided visit and wine tasting from 10:15 - 11:15am.

Walking by the river visit Gaia and Porto Riverfront.

Free time to have lunch.

Return to Cruise ship terminal around 14:30pm.

Arrival back at the Terminal 15:00 pm.
