Talkeetna is a census-designated place in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, United States. The population is close to 1000 and Talkeetna is home to the convergence of three major glacial rivers, which makes for great excursions, whether by air, land or by water. The historic village is nestled at the base of North America's tallest peak Mt. Mckinley (Denali).
